Currently the world has entered the era of knowledge economy, the wave of economic globalization and integration is overwhelming. The city of Wuhan has seen accelerated development in the past years, but there is still a huge gap between Wuhan's current situation and the requirments of modern urbanization. Moreover, experts on city management and administration are needed in order to be adapted to the city construction and to propel city development. According to the development of Wuhan, to librate the thoughts means that we should, with developing Wuhan into an international city as the long-term goal, open the market, develop with an extraordinary speed, grasp the opportunity that information industry is developing in the time of knowledge economy and international manufacture center is transferring into China after she became a member of WTO, exert market mechanism functions and follow the city-country net and aggregative development patterns; to respect the facts means we should base on the reality of this city's development, learn from the long respectable history to find the drive of urbanization and city modernization in it, pursue city continuous development strategy, that is, people is the principal factor, and build an ecotypic city with a beautiful living environment.In the author's eyes, Wuhan has a god-given advantage in the environment.
