Research For The Development Of Gansu's Traffic Construction

With the making and implementing of our country's policy for developing the western district,especially Gansu,is provided with unprecedented historical chances. At the same time,with our entry into WTO in 2001,the gradual opening up of the domestic transportation market becomes unavoidable. This makes Gansu's transportation construction face great challenge. However,due to the fact that Gansu is situated in the inland area;Gansu's construction of basic facilities is backward;the transportation network is underdeveloped and the transportation capability lists low,Gansu's economic healthy development sutlers from hindrance. Therefore,our country has paid adequate attention to this and enhanced the investment scale for constructing basic facilities in Gansu. Even so,with the limited investments plus the fact that the western area has been backward in message for a long time,which has resulted in lack of openness in ideological ideas,Serious depending ideas,lack of exact systematic long-term design,lack of measures and liow speed of development as well.Through the analysis of the changes in the total of the passenger and cargo transportation in northwest area,the make-up of regional characteristics and transportation means,and the present state of the transportation network,this dissertation arms to predict the tendency for later development of Gansu's transportation. At the same time,by taking advantage of the favorable opportunities provided by the great development,this essay also arms to make out a set of counter-measures for Gansu's transportation development and its network design by railway,highway,civic airline and pipeline transportation etc. By this method,we can speed up the development of Gansu province,broaden our vision and help the orderly economic development of Gansu and the northwest area,hence contributing to our country's developing the west.At present,our development policy is gradually put into practice. Meanwhile,we have higher cognition level in constructing transportation,telecommunications etc. The transportation to tal in northwest,including Gansu's is increasing year by year and railway,highway and civic airline are also carrying out series of analysisand study in individual system. At the same time,some developed countries are eager to help develop those underdeveloped areas. All mention above provide perfect chance for my picking up a research direction. Therefore,carrying out the research into several problems hindering Gansu's transportation development,providing good conditions are also theoretical analysis of the development strategy in northwest as well as in Gansu. This is extremely important for carrying out the requirements of great development by the CPC,liberating our thoughts,shifting our ideas,and developing the northwest economy.
