Probe On The Mass Foundation Of The Chinese Communist Party In The New Stage

The mass foundation of the Chinese Communist Party is a historical category and under different historical conditions it has different meaning. After the Third Plenary Session of the eleventh Central committee (of the Chinese communist Party), China has stepped into the new stage of modern construction of socialism. With the continuous reform of the political and economic system, the former social class and stratum in China has become divided and some new strata have come into being. How to determine their nature and position and how to unite them to build socialism are of vital importance to the Party's basis of being in power. To inquire into this issue plays a significant role in theory and reality. This thesis consists of three parts: introduction, body, and conclusion. The introduction mainly accounts for the theoretical and historical basis of the mass foundation's development and change. And it also accounts for the practical significance of understanding the mass foundation in the new stage when combined with the discussion of the division of the social class and stratum. The body is composed of three sections. The first section summarizes the historical experience and lessons of the working class's party in dealing with the issue of the mass foundation. The second section , connecting with the discussion of the division of the social class and stratum in the new stage, expounds the course of the new strata's emergence and evolvement and the characteristics when they serve as one part of the mass foundation of the CCP. The last section gives a preliminary analysis of the influence on the Party's construction produced by the above-mentioned changes. The conclusion mainly discusses the approach of the above issue and at the same time indicates that approaching and carrying out this issue is a historical process of continuous development.
