Research On The Business Development Of Commercial Bank Under The New Environment Based On The Fact From SPDB

After China opened the door to the foreign and quickened the step of reforming the financial system the situation that the four state-owned bank monopolized the banking industry was broken. Some commercial bank grew up and promoted the growth of economy in China. At the same time with the background of globalization and reforming of bank industry all over the world banking industry in China face the enormous competition from the foreign commercial bank. In the new situation commercial bank of China face both huge challenge and chance. Some emulative bank will survive and some will go to dead. The obvious example is that Hainan Development Bank was closed.This study try to think and discuss the problem of subsistence and development of new commercial bank in China from the viewpoint of one banker. Firstly, new commercial bank still has its developing space. Market difference is the foundation of surviving and developing. In the United States and Japan similar commercial bank take up the from twenty to forty percent of market share.Secondly, the study analyze the Compilation of the Legal Instruments on China's Accession to the World Trade Organization, contrast strength and weakness between new commercial bank and foreign bank, new commercial bank and state-owned bank, new commercial bank and city commercial bank, let the senior manager of commercial bank know about the situation, environment, strength and weakness. This study is based on the example of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.The result of the study are as followed: new commercial bank in China should be relocated in the finance market and emphases on the retail banking business.
