Tea production is possessed of important status in agriculture structure in many provinces of our country. From the point of view of either the field area in use of agriculture or the quantity of labor force in country, tea occupy considerable proportion in rural economics, therefore tea production is closely relate to the earning of peasants and the efficiency of the effective allocation of country resource. Under the current domestic market circumstance of the stable and short demand versus surplus supply, to exploit the international market is of great importance. Fortunately, the entrance of WTO provides a new chance and more space to extend the international market. To make these opportunities to reality, it is necessary that Chinese tea industry have stronger international competitive power, thus the path of enhancing international competitive power of Chinese tea industry would be an important studying issue. This paper would make an approach to International competitive power of tea industry in China as follows.The first part (Chapter One) is about the summarization of the theory of the international competitive power. After summarizing and analyzing the theory of international competitive power, the connotation and extension of international competitive power were differentiated and analyzed. Based on this, the general analysis pattern of international competitive power was given out. Finally, the index system of international competitive power was studied and the special index system in conformity to the objects concerned was established.The second part (Chapter Two) is about the positive study of international competitive power of Chinese tea industry. After looking back the tea export history of the country from the point of view of both the gross and kinds of exported tea, adapting the pattern and the index system established in chapter one, the positive analysis of international competitive power concerning the actuality and history of the Chinese tea was carried out. Finally, various factors, which might affect the international competitive power of Chinese tea industry was given out.The third part (Chapter Three) is about the relationship between the green trade barriers and international competitive power of Chinese tea industry. First, the background which green trade barriers come into being and its implication was analyzed. Then, the influence of green trade barriers on the international competitive power of Chinese tea industry and its cause was explored. Finally, the concrete measures to cope with green trade barriers were put forward.The forth part (Chapter Four) is about the relationship between the technique efficiency and international competitive power of Chinese tea industry. After analyzing the technique efficiency of the tea, the performance of tea production in China and its relation with the international competitive power were evaluated.The fifth part (Chapter Five) is about the relationship between the economy of scale production and international competitive power of Chinese tea industry, in which the scale management of tea garden and the portrait harmony of the all production taches were mainly discussed. To deal with the first the problem, the scale economic statue of the Chinese tea was analyzed adopting the Product Function Model. As for the second problem, according to the product character of Chinese tea, the option of suitable scale of tea garden management was discussed adopting the trade cost theory. Finally, according the method of SSCP, the pattern of the portrait harmony adapting the tea industry of our country was put forward.The sixth part (Chapter Six) is about the relationship between the market structure and the international competitive power of Chinese tea industry. Because the market structure restricts the performance of the market body, any tea enterprices won in the marketplace only if they adapted the market structure.
