It is a case about BPR (Business Process Reengineering) in the fixed assets investment management in the headquarters of Guangdong Telecom Corporation (GTC), consisting of two parts-"the case" and "the analysis".In this case, some departments of GTC, including Engineering & Construction Department, want to put the relationship in the construction in order by constructing "Guangdong Telecom Construction Management System", but a series of unexpected problems emerged. Taking the case as a guide, the author introduces the experience in development, the present status of GTC, the development condition and competition situation in the telecom industry, and more about the fixed assets investment of GTC, such as the investment management and the flow chart.In the analysis, it is analyzed and studied that how the management process of fixed assets investment of GTC is reengineered. Based on the analysis of the present process, the process is redesigned and improved with an improved viewpoint. For the purpose of coordination, the organization and the responsibilities are adjusted. At last, how to manage the process of reengineering of fixed assets investment in GTC is raised.The main problems about the BPR are analyzed, although not completely and not thoroughly, this article is still helpful to the work in the corporation.
