The Research On Enterprise Information Reengineering

Informization construction is necessary for current enterprises' reformation. The implementation of ERP is the major way of enterprise informization construction, and business process reengineering(BPR) is the prerequisite for ERP. But the high risk of BPR urges people to seek new research methods, and information process reengineering(IPR) is just the new way to study BPR from the angle of imformation process.This paper begins with the analysis of BPR. Based on the overview of BPR, the key elements of business process(BP) are emphasized, BP is divided into information process and physical process, and two levels for studying BP are put forward, namely, information level and business level. Then the basic idea of IPR is put forward, including its concept and characteristics, also the relation between PR and BPR. Furthermore, PR is considered as the earlier project process of BPR, and BPR can be divided into two stages, that's, EPR stage and concrete BPR stage. For the above stages, the former is the guidance of the latter.This paper also analyzes three reproaches of studying IPR on the basic of the enterprise strategy, and three IPR models are proposed. The first one is ValueChain-oriented IPR model which is directed by value chain integration and value-added idea. The second one is MassCustomization-oriented PR model which combines mass production with personalized customization and concentrates on customers' personalized demands. The last is VirtualEnterprise-oriented PR model which is driven by external resources and integrated by key competition ability. Moreover, after analyzing the basic theory of each model, each model is depicted in detail from core information processes identification, information process map description and reengineering processing. In the end, each model is analyzed with a specific example.The contribution of this paper is concluded in the following three aspects. First, BP is divided into information process and physical process. Second, the concept and basic idea of enterprise PR are proposed. Finally, three kinds of PR models are put forward.This paper includes 22 graphs and 5 tables.
