Study Of Electronic Re-engineering For Oil-extraction Process Design

In the dissertation, a new theory, electronic reengineering, are brought forward and discussed at the beginning. And then the author made a research of procedure of oil-extraction process design: applying electronic reengineering theory, considering real conditions of oil extraction firms and adopting information technology, to reengineering the oil-extraction process flow, in order to improve quality and efficiency of designs. Further, the author made a case study of Daqing Oil-extraction Firm No.3 with the way of development of information system, in order to have a try of electronic reengineering.There are two parts discussed in this desertion: one is analysis of electronic reengineering theory, and the other is practice of electronic reengineering.1. Analysis of electronic reengineeringAt the beginning, electronic reengineering theory is brought forward creatively. Electronic reengineering means a managerial ideology, which based on information technology and through electronic means, reengineers process flow and integrates process, organization and information. The goal of electronic reengineering is to improve corporation competence and operation ability.Then, characteristics of electronic reengineering are demonstrated, and three simple models for electronic reengineering are given.At last, main tasks of electronic reengineering are analyzed, which involve process flow, organization structure and information structure. 2. Practice of electronic reengineeringUnder the guide of electronic reengineering theory, procedure of oil-extraction process design is reengineered in order to improve quality and efficiency of designs. First step is to analyze the characteristics and disadvantages of traditional process flow in oil-extraction firms. Second step is to reengineer the process in details and also to adapt organization structure. Third step is to make a conclusion of the new process that is reengineered.Then, information system based on Intranet was developed for DaqingOil-extraction Firm No.3 in order to help the new procedure of oil-extraction process design goes well.In the dissertation, there are more than three innovations: first, theory innovation, which gives out electronic reengineering theory and its model; second, mechanism innovation, which means electronic reengineering is operated with IT; third, application innovation, which studied oil-extraction process design for first time.
