Xi'an Natural Gas Corporation Of Process Reengineering

BPR theory brought revolutionary changes to enterprise management. This theory, coming into being for only more than one decade, has made great impact in the management field. At the same time, the theory is creating new opportunities for companies worldwide. Having made rapid development in recent years, Information Technology provides development space for BPR and is also having affect on China's developing state-owned enterprises.This article, with the Chinese state-owned enterprise-Xi'an Natural Gas Company as the study object, on the basis of analysing the company's core operation process, analyses its competitive strengths and weaknesses by using the Porter Model and studies its business processing ability. Considered the current conditions of Xi'an Natural Gas Company and the Gas Industry, a Management Information System is established on BPR theory. Then, its core business processing system is rebuilt, its previous operation structure is adjusted on the new business processing system of customer orientation, and its departments' functions are clearly pointed out to simplify its organization structure, solve the current problems and increase its competitiveness. Finally, the organization structure reforming pattern of the Gas Industry is studied and formed.
