The Chinese telecom industry has entered the most competitive stage. In the recent years,the monopolization of telecom operation has been broken off since the Chinese government has speeded up the reform of the Telecom system,relaxed the central control on the domestic telecom market as well as China entered WTO. At present,there are seven main Telecom competitors to run the Telecom business rather than the previous single Chinese Telecom market. Furthermore,it becomes drastic that competitors fight against one another by running various business instead of single one.It is valuable to conduct this research at such a situation. The topic of the dissertation chosen,the implementation of the research and the conclusion made are based on the above background. Having observed and audited the present competitive status of Chinese Telecom Market together with the current situation of Human Resources Management in the Telecom Enterprise,this research combines Human Resources Management theoretic with the practice of the Telecom Enterprise,analyses them as an integrated subject,and puts forward the strategies that Xiamen Telecom company will react to and eventually win the competition in the aspect of Human Resources Management.The dissertation is divided into four chapters. The first two chapters are developed from general issues to specific areas.Chapter One mainly introduces the general information of the development of "Chinese Telecom" and other Telecom operators as well as the trends of communications technology. Moreover,it presents the macro environment of Chinese Telecom Market and states the serious competition that the organizations face. It concludes that the significance of enhancing human resources managementfor Chinese Telecom Group and its subordinate companies.Chapter Two describes the development of Xiamen Telecom Company and its competitive marketing. Having briefed the situation of its competitors' Human Resources Management,it focuses on analyzing its current status and main existing challenges for Xiamen Telecom company. From the micro perspective,it discusses the direction of boosting up the Human Resources Management in Xiamen Telecom Company. The last two chapters are expanded from exterior to interior.Chapter Three has cited the benchmarks of Telecom Operators in the world and the leader Telecom companies in China,which have the best practice on Human Resources Management. Comparing them with Xiamen Telecom,it seeks for the constructive points can be implied in Xiamen Telecom to fulfill its Human Resources Management.Upon the above integrated analysis and comparison,from a strategic perspective,Chapter Four sets forth the detailed suggestions and recommendations on Human Resources Management,which Xiamen Telecom Company may implement,with the consideration of its current status under the competitive stage.
