Along with the electric power system innovation going deeply step by step competion mechanim brought in the traditional monopoly corporation will have no advantage. In face of survival and development, electric pswer corporation have to adapt transformation, enter and exploit the market rapidly. Since electric power industry transferred from buyer's market to seller's marker, marketing in electric power market has become a research project absorbing much attention and urgent affairs of electric industry sustainable development. According to rules of market economy and principles of marketing this thesis describes background and significance of power marketing research. The main research contents include philosophical evolvement of marketing research, marketing research & operation strategy of power - supplying enterprise, environment of power marketing, interior situation of power - supplying enterprise, management procedure of power marketing, power demand prediction & demand side management (DSM), and practical operation of power marketing. The purpose lies in promoting development of power marketing theoretical research and practical operation, helping power - supplying enterprise enhance pro-ducting and selling, promoting power consumption and further development of power industry and increasing economic benefits.
