Since the middle of the 20th century, the process of globalization in world economy runs quickly and the automobile industry also comes into a new period of development. Along with the opening of China's economy, large-size international automobile companies come into the market of China one after another, beginning a fierce competition, however, the enterprises in China fall far behind.The automobile industry in China began relatively late. During the 70s of the 20th century, the market of China's automobile hadn't been established owing to the influence of the planned economic system. In the 80s, China's economy turned to be open and the economic system changed its direction from planned economy to market economy. But each locality and each department invested blindly and constructed repeatedly for its own profit. And so did the automobile industry departments. Along with the establishment and the gradual perfection of China's socialism market economy, especially the intervening of the large-size foreign companies, the producing concentration of China's automobile industry has been enhanced. Large automobile companies also adjust their production structure actively, use foreign capital to strengthen their technological innovation abilities and make important progress in the field of economic technique cooperation concerned with the outside world, promote the level of our automobile industry. Because can the lagging political system in China hardly adapt to the market economy system mutually, the situations of constructing repeatedly and organization confusion in China haven't been changed basically. This situation doesn't adapt to the continuing increasing of Chinese people's average consume and incoming, especially these years the automobile market in China has changed from buyer market to seller market. The native automobile market in China once turned to be overcast. Nowadays the main brands of auto in international auto market are Volkswagen, Honda, Ford, Audi, Toyota, BMW and Benz, etc. The situation of the USA, Japan and Europe being the only three important manufacturers has formed in the international auto market. And this is a rigorous challenge to the development of our country's automobile in international market.FAW Group, as the leader of China's auto industry, is the first automobileindustry base in China. It was built during "The First Five Years" and is commended as the cradle of China's auto industry. Nowadays the FAW Group has developed to be a large-size auto enterprise with well-found auto species, abundant technique and funds actual strength, scientific research, exploiting, producing, sale and foreign trade functions, etc. FAW Group experienced three large-scale developing periods which are setting up a factory and starting undertaking, changing the types of production and rebuilding the factory, and producing light pattern vehicles and cars. With the hardships and glory of continuing undertaking and innovation, FAW Group has realized the transform from single production to several series in production structure, from single factory system to large-size enterprise group system in organization structure, from single domestic market to both domestic and overseas markets in market structure, from single investing corpus to the diversification of investing corpuses in capital structure.
