| This thesis is a compositive case for teaching. It consists of two parts: case introduction and case study.In the case introduction, it is attempted to give a brief explanation of dredging industry, to describe the dredging development outside the China Mainland, and to characterize the competitive market in Mainland China. In time order, the author presents a whole picture of Guangzhou Dredging Company's growth, including the three momentous events: the Macao Project, the Zhujiangkou Project and diversified expansion. At the same time, the author endeavors to emphasize upon the particular course and primary effect of strategic change in Guangzhou Dredging Company.In the second part, combined practice with the theories of MBA courses, especially the theories of Strategic Management, Managerial Economics and Financial Management, the author gives her opinion on the rationality and financial benefit of strategic change in Guangzhou Dredging Company. And then the author points out its present problem, deduces the core business development strategy of dredging according to external conditions research, industry and competitive analysis, company resource evaluation. Finally, the author puts forward suggestions for operating. |
