With the consciousness of interests of social groups awaken andstrengthened, the pursuit of interests has been the powerful motive force during the transition period in China. This period, being characterized by the disintegration of interests and that of social interests groups consequent upon the former, indicates the break of the uniform pattern of interests, the recombination of adjustment and recombination. It' s thus necessary to integrate the disintegration of interests groups so as to maintain the normal order in the society. The government, the driver of the reform and market, ought to integrate the disintegration of interests groups, without which the reform and the stability would become impossible. This view is of particular significance to the improvement of theories of socialist construction and the social stability and development. This thesis focuses on the relation between the disintegration of interests groups and governmental integration so as to find out the measures taken by the government to deal with the disintegration. The concept of interests groups is also defined.In addition to the introduction, this thesis is composed of four parts.Part 1 presents the explanation of the concept of interests groups in the academic circles, for a clear understanding of the concept is the prerequisite of the studies about the disintegration of interests groups.Part 2 discusses the causes of the disintegration of interests groups during the transition period in China. The policy is the very important reason. And the ownership and the industrial structure is another reason. The enforcement of political reform provides the practical condition for it.Part 3 discusses the effect of the disintegration of interests groups upon the social development. On one hand, this disintegration indicating the flexibility of Chinese political and economic system, promotes the modernization of social structure and the political modernization and democratization. On the other hand, the inferior social groups caused by the excessive disintegration would threaten the social stability.Part 4 the core of this thesis, presents the solutions to the problem. This part isdeveloped in terms of the following aspects: the theoretical analysis of the disintegration of interests groups; the realistic analysis of this disintegration; the inevitability and possibility of this disintegration; the via of the government integration.
