Nowadays, science and technology is influencing the world in every aspects including people's thinking patterns, notions, and life styles. As a result, scientific research has been more and more important in the human society. Undoubtedly, it has advancing the world. Yet, with the development of science and technology, some problems have occurred, such as the problem of scientific morality. This problem becomes increasingly notable. The loss of scientific morality leads to environmental pollution, resource abuse, high-tech crimes, large-scale antipersonnel weapon making, as well as plagiarism. However, the loss of scientific morality doesn't result from science and technology itself but result from desire for benefits, stress of competition, irrational exploitation of resources, and unreasonable and even illegal use of scientific achievements. As a matter of fact, it is brought about by human value crisis and human spiritual crisis. In brief, the loss of scientific morality is represented in diverse forms and caused by complex factors. It has profound impacts and does harm to social development and intellectual growth. Scientific morality construction is closely related to the scientific, intellectual, and even all-around development of a nation. Therefore, it is significant to study the problem of scientific morality and construct scientific morality. This thesis carefully analyzes various factorsand discusses the problem objectively and systematically, as the efforts to study and solve the problem of scientific morality as well as build up scientific morality. This paper consists of three parts:Part one: Scientific morality and its rules: 1) discussion about the definition, and content of scientific morality; 2) summary of the definition and content of scientific morality; and 3) generalization on the definition, representation, and harm of scientific morality loss.Part two: Reasons for the loss of scientific morality. This part is the key of this paper. It analyzes the reasons for scientific morality loss by studying both social factors and individual factors.Part three: Measures for scientific morality construction. This is the most difficult but the most creative part in this thesis. Some related issues are discussed in thesis, which include reinforcing thought education, theoretic research of scientific morality, scientific morality environment construction, and scientific research system construction, and furthering educational system reform.
