Strategic Studies Of Constructing Wuhan District Logistics Center

The 21th century is an age of knowledge economy and information. Regarding as a dominant industry in country industry, logistics are being highly concerned and vigorously supported. Logistics developing speed directly effects the growth rate of Nation Economy, and effects the improvement of people' s living standard.With the popularity of logistics concept in China, the understanding of logistics is being deepened, and the enthusiasm and initiative for developing logistics by all kinds of enterprises and governments are enhanced constantly too. Since things differ, the entire copy of the experiences and patterns of other regions and countries will surely be of no satisfactory effect. Therefore, what we have to do is to find out the general principles of the formation and the development of modern logistics trade through digesting, improving and then assimilating others' theoretical and practical achievements, then develop our own mode of managing and operating the logistics trade, which will fit the situation of our country.This thesis is based on the current situation of the logistics trade in Wuhan. With the deep understanding of the theory and practice of the logistics trade in China and other countries, the author has made a theoretical study of the logistics trade and pointed out the logistics in Wuhan and set the long-term aim. Furthermore, strategic studies of how to bring the functions of Wuhan as the modern economic center into full play to fulfill this task have been made.This thesis contains five chapters. First, it introduces the background of the topic. Secondly, on the basis of the theoretical studiesof modern logistics and the implication of the center of the logistics, it compares the current situation of the development of the logistics trade in Wuhan with that of other parts of China and other countries, and then points out the existing gap and problems and the approaches to solve these problems. Thirdly, it analyses the advantages of constructing the synthetic regional center of the logistics in Wuhan and then the necessity and the feasibility of this construction according to the theory of development of the center of the logistics and the actuality of Wuhan. Lastly, it demonstrates the guidelines, the principles, the general layout and specific strategies of the development.
