Since 1990s, a new economic era based on knowledge has been coming, promoted by the new-tech revolution specialized in information technology revolution. Facing the severe challenge of knowledge economy, western developed countries and newly rising developing countries try their best to prepare in advance, take part in the global hi-tech competition actively, get the domination of hi-tech industry and accelerate the pace of putting hi-tech to use in production and reforming the traditional industry by hi-tech. For the realization of rapid development of Shenzhen' s district economy, our nation* s meeting the challenges of knowledge economy in the new century and the great national rejuvenation, it is vital to make scientific and reasonable strategy for the hi-tech industry, boost the innovation of scientific technology and industrial upgrading.The competition between all nations and all regions can be competition of different levels and scopes, composed of politics, economy, culture and human resources, however, in the end, it lies on the development and level of hi-tech and its putting to use in production. Since the founding of special economic zone, it' s just 20 years. Shenzhen has been the important base of China' s hi-tech industry, with new and export-oriented economic structure led by electronic information technology and biological technology industry. This thesis is not only to make systematic summary of the regular pattern of Shenzhen' s hi-tech industry development, but also to probe the its trend, with focus on the analysis combined with theory and practice, and the study of the future of Shenzhen' s hi-tech industry development.Integrate theory with practice is the key and start to problem solution, thus, in the process of subject selection and writing of this thesis, I would put all the theory I learn and my working experience together, so as to make the correct strategy for science development. First, look up lots of relevant documents, collect and sort out relevant materials, clarify the theory. Second, make lots of specialized study, and field study in the hi-tech enterprises, get to know the trend for the hi-tech development policy by consulting relevant institutions. Third, collect information of technology innovation and industrial structure upgrading, domestic and foreign development of hi-tech industry, get to know and master the study and trend of hi-tech industry development in time. Fourth, sort out and analyze the data, settle down the outline and structure and write the thesis under tutor' s direction.To the solution of how to further Shenzhen' s development of hi-tech industry, I point out in my thesis as follows, to accelerate the strategy of relying on science and education to develop the city; to develop electronic information technology, biological technology and new material technology, with hi-tech industry band as carrier and highlighting invention of system, technology and management; to build some key hi-tech enterprises and well-known products; to promote industrial upgrading; to informationize with strength; to attract elites; to protect copy right; to keep an eye on the risk of investment; to better the investment environment; to make Shenzhen the base of production and exportation of hi-tech product, the base of hi-tech research and development, the base of transformation and transaction of its outcome, as well as the base of fostering hi-tech elites; to try to make Shenzhen a hi-tech city with clear scale advantage, outstanding industrial features, creation and investment in full bloom, lots of hi-tech elites and pleasant environment.
