The economy of China has made great progress during over twenty years under the reform and open policy. Also has it made noticeable economic miracle. As a result, China has become the most important capital-inflow nation in the world. No doubt the foreign direct investment has led to the development of Chinese economy for a long time, as far as the transnational capital flow was concerned, our government, enterprise and the scholar had paid more attention on the subject of how to attract and make use of foreign capital technology and the resultant influence on the economic of China. Whereas, as the counter part, the problem of Chinese enterprise's foreign investment was lack of research and discuss however, with the twenty-year-development and the realization of the goal of entering WTO, Chinese enterprise has never-met chances. And what' s more, developing the foreign direct investment plays a more important role when being confront with the international competition. So, the systematic research on Chinese enterprise' s foreign direct investment is of great importance in reality.This paper, is trying to, by the means of general review of all kinds of the theory of foreign direct investment, offer the theoretical basis for our enterprise making the strategic decision of the foreign direct investment.
