The Application Of CALS In Investment Project

CALS was first put forward as a strategic plan by American Ministry of National Defense. It aimed to make the advantage of the computer technology to reform the concentrated working pattern of technical document in the weaponry and its spare part ,lower defense spending, improve the weapon's reliability and power. The implementation of the plan had a great achievement which embodied CALS' great vitality. Up to the late 1980's, CALS was not only continusly thought highly in American Ministry of National Defense, but also aroused the interest of American Ministry of Commerce. The leaders of American industry field have ever said in the CALS magazine that CALS was the stragety of the overall development of the manufacturing industry. Until now ,CALS implication has been expanded from weapony to civil use,in addition it has been spread to Great Britain, French, Germany, Sweden, Forland, Japan,Korea,Australia and so on. Many countries have set up government apparatus and civil organizations of CALS. Internationl Organization of CALS was found in Decemeber,1994 in order to develop CALS. The first international conference was hold in London in April,1995. After that,the conferences and activies about CALS have became hot.When CALS was mainly implied in defense field in America and Europe, Japan government has positively directed to construct commercial CALS Implication System.CALS in maily inmplied in business and manufacturing industry in Japan now.The thesis has a overall review of CALS's developing tendency, significance, necessity and prospect both from abroad and domestically.
