A Study On The Economic Development Strategy Of Zhanjiang City

This paper combines the theory study with empirical analysis. Developing economics theory and its method are used as the total means. In concrete application of the methods, the paper adopts the way that connects the empirical analysis with the criterion analysis, static state analysis, and tendency analysis as well as comparative analysis etc, to do a more general and through review of the economic development of Zhanjiang city. According to the methods and the theory of modern economic development, it does an analysis and an evaluation for the economic development of Zhanjiang, and its purpose lies in giving a theory cause for the new century economic development strategy of Zhanjiang city.This paper makes use of the theory study to solve the practial problems of economic development of zhanjiang city. Its basic idea is: At first,the concerned theory of developing economics is described in general. In introduction part, the background of this topic, the purpose of this research, the thoughts and the ways of this research are demonstrated. In the second part, the relevant theory and model of economic development are introduced, and its main contents include the developing economic theory, the structure theory of economic development and the area economic theory, then ,a framework of analysis is set up. In the third part, the way of empirical analysis is used on the actuality of economic development of Zhanjiang. At first, the society and economy of zhanjiang city is introduced, also, the natural condition as well as the state of economic development which includes the total state, structure state and the area composition state of economic development. Secondly, the history track of the economic development of Zhanjiang is reviewed and its economy is compared fore and aft with itself, such as the development and change of the economic inventory, the evolution of the economic structure, etc. Thirdly, its economy is compared with the other districts' economic development, as well as the international standard in the sideway. Such as the average development level of Guangdong province, and the developed Zhujiang delta as well as Maoming city and Yangjiang city in the west of Guangdong province. Finally, anevaluation to the state of economic development of Zhanjiang city is given out; also the existing problems, the strongpoint and the shortcomings as well as the confmable factors are pointed out. In the forth part, the strategy adjustion of Zhanjiang's economic development is put forward. In this part, the strategy aim, the guideline and the strategy location of the economic development of Zhanjiang city are brought forward, also the countermeasure of how to realize the strategy adjustion. This part is the emphasis of the paper, in which the practicable measures are put forward, and all these will be beneficial for zhanjiang's economy to realize lasting, high speed, steady and healthy development.
