Study And Application Of The Supplier Selection In Supply Chain Management

Supply Chain Management (SCM), as a new competitive form, has been highly recognized by enterprises all over the world. Because of suppliers' important role in SCM, supplier management has also received high regard, and traditional supplier management has restricted modern SCM development. This paper first introduces basic concept and theory of SCM, and compares traditional supplier management with that of Supply Chain Management, on the base, a model to build up new supplier collaborative relationship is provided. Then the paper analyzes every kind of index when selecting supplier in SCM, and establishes a set of comprehensive supplier appraisement index system, besides uses fuzzy analyses hierarchy process to appraise suppliers. In the end, based on Visual Basic 6.0, a decision-making support system for supplier selection and appraisement is drawn up, the software is of rather practicability. On the base of above theory research, this paper takes an enterprise as an example and conducts a substantial evidence research.
