The Application Of Supplier Management In Process Manufacturing Enterprises

To meet the globalization of local market and the increasingly customization demand, it is becoming an important research field in supply chain management which employ supplier management and collaborative relationship for effective managing external resources.Comparing with the traditional vendor selection and measurement methods, the new supplier management has focused even on relationship managerial methods. Based on reviewing the vendor selection decision and relationship management, this paper explores the relationship mode of the manufacturer and the supplier on supply chain environment and discusses the strategic collaborative relationship in detail. According to mutual trust along with establishing the strategic collaborative relationship, this paper puts forward methods of establishing mutual trust on the basis of definitions, functions and forms of trust.Due to the existing papers in supplier management field investigated even in discrete industries, this paper have preliminarily studied supplier management in process industries on the basis of experiences in the logistics study of Kinglong Beers Co. Finally, empirical study is conducted and some significant improving proposals are forward.
