Study On The Development Of Technology Innovation For Medium And Small Sized Enterprises

In the era of knowledge economy, technology innovation becomes the main drive for economic growth. As the most vigorous member of tech innovation sponsors, medium and small sized enterprises play an irreplaceably important role in promoting technological advancement, stimulating international trade, stabilizing economic growth and decreasing unemployment. Therefore, research on the technology innovation of medium and small sized enterprises is badly needed in order to maintain fast and striding development of our economy.The thesis defines technology innovation of medium and small sized enterprises first and divides it into three categories: product innovation, service innovation and process innovation. It's characteristics are also summarized and the current situations home and abroad are introduced.Based on traditional theories and the characteristics mentioned above, the technology innovation of medium and small sized enterprises are further discussed by applying both qualitative and quantitative methods. The advantages comparing to large enterprises are presented, followed by theoretical strategies in accordance with details of each enterprises. Finally, the mechanism models are figured out, inclusive of drive mechanism, decision mechanism, operation mechanism and extension mechanism.The six problems of technology innovation of medium and small sized enterprises are analyzed. They are: rigid innovation mechanism, incomplete legal system, insufficient incentives, unsatisfying services, inadequate funds and lack of technology, equipment, personnel and information. Under those circumstances, this thesis puts forward the proposals of promoting technology innovation of medium and small sized enterprises hi china, with reference to experiences in other countries. It holds that medium and small sized enterprises are the real main part of technology innovation. Government acts as back-up, rather than dominant.
