Study On Modern Logistics Enterprises Valuation

American management scholars first put forward the theory of enterprise valuation in the 1960's. In the recent 40 years, it has been greatly developed in advanced countries. With the constant development of property right market, the theory was spread to china and applied widely in company management, property right trade, venture investment and so on. Understanding value is the gist and precondition of all the economic and management behaviors, and increment of corporation value has become the aim of all activities of today's corporation. Therefore, it is necessary to understand enterprise valuation and it's function in improving enterprise competition and keeping an accelerating tendency in a long time.However, how to value the modern logistics enterprises is still a problem for scholars in the field of appraisal in knowledge society with a large number of booming modern logistics enterprises. No scholars specialize in how to set up valuation system to evaluate modern logistics enterprise in practice field or in theory field. How to understand and value logistics enterprise and find a way from valuation to management? All these problems have to be resolved.Based on the present situation of logistics enterprise valuation, this paper analyzed the nature of the valuation of modern logistics enterprises, pointed out the concept of modern logistics enterprises valuation, and analyzed how the value of modern logistics enterprises formed from the two aspects of theory and practice, and tried to set up an evaluating system for modern logistics enterprise.This paper was composed of five parts. The first part presented the actuality, significance and problems of modern logistics enterprises valuation. The second part studied the characteristics of modern logistics enterprises, pointed out the concept of modern logistics enterprises valuation, and analyzed how the value of modem logistics enterprises come from. The third part discussed the approaches and the factors of modern logistics enterprises valuation .Based on the introduction and the criticism of the traditional valuation approaches, the forth part presented suggestions on how to set up our country's system of approaches and how to choose approaches to valuate the modern logistics enterprises on different phases. The fifth part embodied the new idea by the instance of wuhu port company's valuation.
