The Middle East, which has an important strategic status and abundant supply of petroleum resources, is regarded as the foothold for the powers to build world hegemony. After World War â…¡ , U.S. began to set foot in this region. The core of the U.S. Middle East Policy was that American scrambled for the control over the Middle East and won over more real and strategic interests during the Cold War. From the end of the Cold War to the Sep11, "containing Iran and Iraq in the east while promoting peace talk in the west" was the heart of U.S. policy toward the Middle East.Combating terrorism has become one of the main issues in international community Since the Sep 11 terrorist attacks. In order to realize it, Bush administration attends to democratize Middle East and finally build up the new order in this region, which launched by Iraq War, American started the prelude of the Policy readjustment. Now American faces lots of difficulties in implementing this Policy and meets with many kinds of obstructions on advancing the "Road Map"for peace. The actions that American is reforming the Middle East with democracy not only have caused the shock of the main nations but also have led to rearrangement of the powers interests in the region. In post-Sep11, readjustment of American's policy of "integrating" the Middle East put a lot of odds in this complicated and changeable region conditions. Because of the intricate international relations in Middle East, the Policy readjustment will be challenged in many ways and American is probably laden with an unsinkable responsibility for it.The region plays an indispensable role for China although China has little influence on the Middle East at present. Moreover, because of China's developing economy and raising her international status, the Middle East will be more and more important to China. After the Sep11, American readjusting its Middle East Policy set the strategic pressure on China, so that we should take active precautions to turn danger into safety.
