Under the present condition of intensely competing and rapidly changing demand, the traditional manufacturing enterprises are greatly changing. Meanwhile, as a main means to improve enterprise competition and adapt changeable market, advanced manufacturing technology is playing an important role in changing the enterprise product structure, production process and pattern of business management. Enterprise modeling is the base of implementing advanced manufacturing technology, it has been known and accepted by more and more people. The enterprise bottleneck problem can be found by building enterprise model, thus enterprise modeling boosts enterprise development. However, enterprise modeling is a system engineering, it costs much money, manpower and time. In order to realize rapid modeling, a method of enterprise reference model is put forward. This method not only can make enterprise model standardization, but also can improve enterprise modeling quality and efficiency.The main work may be summarized as follows:1. Comparing different modeling methods, a set of methods are selected to build enterprise model. The methods are IDEFO, IDEF3, IDEF1X and tree structure view. IDEFO, IDEF3, IDEF1X are respectively used to build function model, process model and information model. Resource model and organization model are built by tree structure view. By using concurrent engineering, the designing product process models are optimized so that designing product quality and efficiency are improved.2. The models built by IDEF have the shortcoming of lack connecting, which preclude models from communicating and comprehending. Associating with the modeling method of ARIS, a modeling method of relation model is proposed. The relation model centers on the process view, connects function view, information view, process view, organization view and resource view, to wholly describe the business procedure of an enterprise. The enterprise model becomes more readable. In addition, Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a public software modeling language. It is used in enterprise modeling and can directly, compactly describe enterprise model.3. By comparing with the built enterprises models, using manufacturing enterprise features and optimizing enterprise models, the equipment manufacturing enterprise reference models arebuilt. In order to quicken modeling efficiency, the modeling method of model component is proposed. The model component warehouse is built to satisfy the demand of enterprise modeling.With the enterprise implementing advanced manufacturing technology, the reference model must be continuously developed and perfected. The further research will focus on how to build models for enterprises implementing advanced technology -agile enterprise, virtual enterprise, etc, and to exploit modeling software system.
