Developping a manufacturing enterprise model, which can adapt to the future changing, have agility and flexibility, benefit to knowledge management and creative management, support collaborating business and enterprise integration for the expanded enterprise and support sucessful constraction of expansive information system, is key to implementate networked manufacturing.Firstly, regarding the concrete circumstance of the state of the nation and two typical manufacturing enterprises, the networked manufacturing framework is discussed under deep investigation. And a agility composition model for networked manufacturing is presented. The agility strategy for enterprises is studied and some strategic implementation principles are stated. SWOT(strenth, weakness, opportunity and threat) metrix strategic analysis model is used and expanded in the analysis of agile enterprise strategy. Agility concept is developed further in a systemic way. According to indurstrial requirements of networked manufacturing, the key characteristic of the agile enterprise is given.Secondly, based on a case study, a process model framework for the network manufacturing oriented agile enterprise is established by using generalized enterprise-reference architecture and methodologies. Three feasible modes, which include virtual enterprises driven value-chain, virtual indurstry cluster based virtual enterprise and project driven virtual enterprise, for construction of agile enterprise by configuring virtual enterprises in large scale is presented. And the principles of establishing specialized virtual enterprise driven large-scale agile enterprise is discussed. Virtual enterprise driven agile enterprise should be a promising mode for large-scale enterprise group to acquire agility in our country.Thirdly, A model structure for the agile enterprise is stated. A collaberative business model framework for the agile enterprise with networked manufacturing is proposed and agent-based agile enterprise collaberative mechanism as a hirarchical and distributed holarchy structure is discussed.Fourthly, modeling method for networked manufacturing oriented agile enterprise is studyed. Introducing Holon and Holarchy concept, agent technology, enterprise ontology method and software architecture component technology to the agile enterprise model, an object-oriented and component-based enterprise UML modeling approach is discussed. Abstracting mechanism for business component inter-operability and business component configuration rules are stated.Fivthly, by using the thought of konwlege engineering and enterprise engineering, integrating current multiple modeling approach and using UML, the agile manufacturing enterprise ontology model and a reference architecture for agile enterprises with project manufacturing is developed. And the building process for agile enterises model including process view, information view, resources view, organization view and the integration of these multiple views is discussed.Some theories and methods above are put into practice of enterprise system programming in the CIMS pilot engineering projects. And they play important roles in the optimization to business processes across the whole value chain.
