Today, manufacturing enterprises have to endure the tremendous press because of the keen competition of market. In order to gain a place in the market, many enterprises try their best to enhance the general strength with several ways such as Enterprise Information, Business Process Reengineering and so on. Enterprise modeling is a important section during the reengineering. But there are many iterant and cheesy activities. These activities have brought on higher cost and lower quality for enterprise modeling. People low have difficulty in using these cheesy models. Then the researches on enterprise reference models are raised.The works about enterprise reference models are most in the design level. Many models just describe the actual plant condition or design the future system. They are concept models. The research on the integration of enterprise reference modeling and model application is scarce. As we all know, we should get the genuine value only when enterprise reference models work during plant practice. It is necessary to research on the methods, contents and the software toolset of the modeling, management and application throughout the whole lifecycle of enterprise models. Something should be done to reduce the disjointed condition between the enterprise models lifecycle stages and to increase the success ratio of models applying. In this opinion, paper include the following contents:In the first chapter, the paper has introduced the basic concept, developing background, study actuality and the necessary of enterprise reference models. The significance of this paper is analyzed. The whole content and the frame of this paper are discussed.After analyzing the research actuality of architecture of enterprise reference model, the second chapter present a Generalized architecture of enterprise reference model which contains enterprise modeling, management, application and many kinds of methods, contents and software system belonging to different lifecycle stages. A aided tool for enterprise reference models based on Internet abbreviated to ATERMI which sustains enterprise reference modeling, management and ABC analysis. The whole frame, the feature and the key technique of ATERMI are also discussed.In the third chapter, the enterprise reference modeling stage in the Generalized architecture is researched. Rag trade reference models built by author according to the Rag trade background are present. The method and the contents of them are discussed in detail. At last, this paper also introduces the functions and the realization of the building model for enterprise reference models in ATERMI system.The fourth chapter is concerned on the management section of the Generalized architecture of enterprise reference model. The granulation concept of enterprise reference models is present, which isbased on the theory and method of fuzzy mathematics. The fuzzy classification arithmetic and the fuzzy searching arithmetic for enterprise reference models are put forward. This chapter also pointes the reference management model of ATERMI system which would help enterprise reference models to be used easily.There are many applications of enterprise reference models and the activity based costing analysis (ABC) is just one of them. The fifth chapter probes into the ABC application of reference models simply. Based on the theory and the accounting method of ABC analysis, the possibility of applying enterprise reference models to ABC analysis is construed. The ABC analysis model based on enterprise process models is present. According to the analysis model, the ABC analysis model of ATERMI system is developed and this chapter has show the function of this software system.In the end, the main research contents of this paper and the related future research are summarized in the sixth chapter.
