This thesis studied and analyzed the theories, methods, and important models of AMT project evaluation and, guided by Poter's Value Chain theory and Kaplan's Balance Scorecard theory, it put forward the BSC model for the post-evaluation of CIMS projects in the aero-manufacturing industry, based on the "Do-Undo comparison" principle. Moreover, the thesis also evaluated the CIMS project of ChengFei company, with due consideration of its special features. Specifically, there are two methods:One method is the economic effect evaluation of CIMS projects, based on an analysis of the change in an enterprise's "comprehensive index" brought about by the projects. This method calculates the incremental effects and evaluates the economic effects of a CIMS project. The other method is an evaluation based on key successful factors (CSF) which drive the company's strategic successes. This method sets up a comprehensive evaluation index system closely related to a company's strategies. The evaluation index system includes 16 indicators which cover finance, customer service, internal operation, and learning and innovation. It measures the effects of CIMS strategy implementation with a combination of the AHP and the Delphi method. On the grounds of theoretical analyses, the thesis came up with a highly practicable evaluation system and method, by combining the basic thoughts of project evaluation theories with project post-evaluation practices in other industries. The BSC evaluation model proposed better fits in with the strategic target, technological and economic features, and evaluation requirements of CIMS projects in the aero-manufacturing industry. Furthermore, the AHP model used for CIMS project evaluation has a more reasonable structure, more comprehensive indicators, and is more user-friendly. Generally speaking, the model better fits in with the technological and economic features and evaluation requirements of CIMS projects. In the end, the thesis compared the implementation of the ChengFei CIMS project with the project objectives, summarized the problems thus identified, and reconsidered some important issues concerning the CIMS project.
