Study On The Product Design Method For Mass Customization

The method of product design for Mass Customization was studied from the view of product structured and product configuration. The theoretic foundation of design for Mass Customization was summed up. Then after summarizing the development of Bill-of-Material system, the Generic Bill-of-Material was used to representing the product family structure for Mass Customization. The configuration model based on the GBOM and CBR was established under the direction of the independence of product model and configuration. And the process of case indexed was described from the point of view of the disassembling product function and product structure. At the end of the study, Fuzzy Synthetical Evaluation was employed to pick-up the similar case. Examples about the parts of spinning machine and battery automatic quality-evaluating machine were given to verify the method.
