| Travel resource management relates closely to geographic locations. Tour site layout, travel service facilities locations, road messages are all based on corresponding geographic coordinates. Geographic Information System technology supported by computer hardware and software thus supplies strong foundation to travel resource management and development with its competitive capability of data solution and space analysis.On basis of systematic analysis, evaluation and estimation of travel resource management, this document, by making full use of advanced DCOM technology and network integrity technology, combining geographic information system development platform MapX and high-class language developing tool Delphi, as well as adopting SQL Server2000 as the backstage space database and property database management tool, has developed the GIS-based network-type travel resource information management system covering Changsha, Xiangtan and Zhuzhou, which could supply theoretical and practical criteria for travel planning and travel resource management, while at the same time accumulate certain experience for research of networked travel resource information management.Through analysis of systematic demand, the data demand and primary functional demand is attained. During database design, space data and property data is under management of SQL Server 2000 based on the analysis of structural design, code design, multi-media database design and property data structure of the space database.This system utilizes space analysis function of MapX software to management resolution of the travel resources in the said area, and the statistical analysis function to analyze the related statistics (such as resource layout and traveler flow), on which the column chart, arc chart and curve chart are drawn, thus the direct scientific messages are provided for decision makers.This system supplies simple and convenient data operation method. Input, deletion and modification of data becomes easier and more customer-friendly. Consistency and completeness of data is notices during the design.Regarding data output, this system allows users to search necessary information in multiple methods, with the detailed methods as vector chart information search, space data search, property data search, data/chart cross search, etc. hi addition, this system possesses some statistical analysis and indication function, which enables users can print out searched data and specific travel resource maps, as well.
