The author of this thesis tries to analyze the great Pre-qin thinker Mozi's social and political theory and find out its positive and rational essence, so as to make full of the traditional theory and culture legacy to fulfill modern ideology and politics education theory.Mozi's main social political theory consists of the view of valuing able and virtuous men, the view of valuing identity, the view of negating attack, the view of universal love, the view of valuing justice, the religion-like conception of man and nature, the frugal conception of consumption and active conception of education. The thesis comprises six parts. The foreword discusses that the traditional culture has positive inflection on modern ideology and politics education. It also points out that Mozi's theory is outstanding in history. The first chapter expounds Mozi's political theory in three parts. First, valuing the able and virtuous men means that when we apply people we should only use the able and virtuous ones and the ruler should be close and friendly to the scholars. Second, valuing identity means all standards of justice should be given to the emperor or the heaven, and Mozi argued that this is essential to erasing the situation of disorder. Last, negating attack means that the unjust wars are bad for both sides. But Mozi didn't object to just wars. In the second chapter, the author discusses Mozi's theory of ethics, which consists of the theories of universal love (jian'ai) and valuing justice(guiyi ). Universal love means that we should love others and benefit them so as to others love us and benefit us. Valuing justice means that people should comply with the moral standards which Mozi set up. This theory also tries to verify the reasonability of Mozi's other political opinions. In the third chapter, the author discusses Mozi's conception of man and nature which consists of the will of the heaven, proof of the ghosts' existence and the view of denying fate. Mozi regarded his own will and opinion as the heaven's or ghosts' in order to restrain the people especially the ruler's theory. On the other hand, Mozi maintained that we should deny fate but try our best to do things. In the fourth chapter, the author discusses Mozi's theory about frugality on consumption and burial and denying musical. The essence of the theory is a kind of conception of consumption which is restrained and worrying. In the last chapter, the author mainly discusses Mozi's active conception of education which surroundings and a preacher's example are paid much attention to.In addation, the author probes into the modern value of these theories in every chapter.
