Secretarial science is one of the main curriculums for higher vocational speciality. Since the beginning of 20th century, the theories on it have become better and better. Many scholars think our secretarial specialists are bent on building an integrated course to form a complete system, therefore they focus on systematical theory study, while the works on this science from such western countries as America are mostly forwarding the techniques , methods and essentials to operate it, which is not unreasonable. Due to the differences of social practices and cognition, there is little research to examine and structure this science which should be considered as a macrocurriculum under the theory of curriculum organization and function. This paper puts forward that our traditional secretarial science focused on the idea of viewing it as a school subject. There is no full expression to its technical sustem of operation and approaches. Current secretarial course has the following weaknesses: old_fashioned criterion, closed contents, uniform carriers, mechanical implementation, single evaluation mechanical implementation, single evaluation means, delayed development and management. This science has not played its role in training high qualified secretaries. Weld better consider this science as a macrocurriculum and completely tap its various kinds and situations of resources to structure it from the sectors of designing, implementing, evaluating and managing go that it can be active and powerful to meet the requirements higher vocationaleducation reform.
