Evaluation On Post Tourism Investment Project

It is universally accepted that tourism can promote development. Countries and governments pay high attention to tourism due to its effects. So tourism is prior to other industries in many provinces and areas in China. In this background, more and more capital is invested in tourism. There are more than 2500 tourism projects in China, which has absorbed capital more than tens of billons. But investment result is not as good as expected, and more than half is not successful. One of the important reasons is that non- scientific feasible research work results in many mistakes in decision-making. So it is necessary to improve the investment decision. While post project evaluation is one of the most useful ways.The paper studies the necessity of post project evaluation based on the analyses of situation of tourism projects, introduces the basic theory of post project evaluation and analyses the management contents of tourism projects. It summarizes the main problems and their reasons of present tourism projects. It analyses the characters of tourism projects and based on the contrast with other kinds of projects, brings forward that tourism projects will be competitive ones at present and in the long run. And then it gives the main evaluation contents, methods and indexes system of tourism investment project and does preliminary study on the evaluation organization and supervision system. Finally this paper gives the basic structure of post tourism investment project evaluation report based on the case of SHI LAO REN Park.
