Charitable foundation projects are important way to solve the social problems. Post-project evaluation is an important stage within the charitable foundation projects cycle, meanwhile, it is also the important content of project management. By utilization of post-project evaluation, the reason of the success or the failure to the projects could be discovered; the experience and the lesson could be summarized. And the improved suggestions for future new projects and the operational problems could be provided through timely and effective information feedback. However, in China, the post-project evaluation for the charitable foundation projects is on the beginning. Due to that less attention was been put on it, the theory and method for it are not mature. In order to explore the research theory and method for post-project evaluation to the charitable foundation projects, the "5-12post-disaster reconstruction projects" funded by Narada Foundation were set as the studying objects. Firstly, the general situation of the projects was introduced and the organization structure and management model for these projects were analyzed. Then post-project evaluation was exerted to the65projects funded by Narada Foundation. By applying comparative evaluation, cause and effect evaluation and social evaluation survey methods charactered by macroscopic combining microcosmic, qualitative combining quantitative, the tracking evaluation and social benefit evaluation were conducted based on the consecutive monitored data and information to the post-disaster reconstruction projects. The main results are as followings:(1) Based on the key projects covering evaluation results, the total projects located at severely affected disaster area and severely damaged area accounted for76.3%in the total projects, illustrating that these projects aimed at the disaster areas/victims which mostly need the assistance. The priorities evaluation results showed that most of the projects were referring to architecture, education, employment and manufacture, which demonstrated the projects played important roles in solving the difficulties to the earthquake-stricken masses.(2) By analyzing the change to the working team, project implementation area and beneficiary before and after the implementation of the project, the results showed that a majority of the executing agency put the projects into execution in accordance with the commitment, and kept the stability of the working team. Although about25%of the project implementation area and beneficiary had seen a change, most projects maintained good coherence with the design and the implementation process.(3) The completion status results of projects showed that66.2%of the total projects have been completed and29.2%have completed the tasks in the main, indicating that the projects has excellent performance. Based on the results of project outputs, the beneficiary satisfaction ratio and public media reports, it was found that71.3%of beneficiary gave a "very good" option and93.5%of the beneficiary hope to get the help of the projects again. These entire outcome showed that the5·12charitable foundation projects won widely recognition and had a good effect on public communication. Finally, the successful experience and the questions arose in the project management were pointed out. The successful experience of the projects could be summarized as:reasonable project design, widely resources input and standard project management. The main questions consist in:the change of the project execution plans, failed plan to the projects and utility deficiency etc. Aiming at these problems, some suggestions for the improvement of the project management were put forward thus to promote the implementation and management of charitable projects funded by Narada Foundation. The dissertation analyzed the concrete projects, and explored the post evaluation methods of project management by related theory.
