| As a newly emerging standard in the world, SA8000: Social Accountability 8000 International Standard (hereafter called SA8000) has been widely accepted by more and more corporations from different countries. SA8000 formulates many measurable indexes to evaluate the labor standard, working condition, working time, wage standard and management system in a corporation. This standard makes a corporation can manifest its social responsibility in product design, production and outsourcing procedures. As an influential international standard, SA8000 will become an important factor to evaluate the equity of the international trade, and SA8000 will undoubted have great influence on the international competitiveness of a corporation. Though SA8000 was initially launched by some developed countries under some special commercial purposes, SA8000 can force the corporation to undertake its social responsibility and enhance its international competitiveness. A corporation can achieve sustainable development by implementing SA8000 and this is also the main standpoint of this article. The structure of this article can be stated as follows.In chapter one, we introduced the background information, the significance of the research and the latest research achievement regarding SA8000. And put forward the main problems we deal with in this article.In chapter two, we firstly defined the content of Corporation Social Responsibility, and then introduced the content and guidelines of SA8000. After that we put forward a new standpoint that through implementing SA8000, a corporation can change its traditional and lagged management system and will form a more advanced management model by integrating the economic cost management, social responsibility management and credit managementIn chapter three, we discussed the stimulative function of SA8000 to thesustainable development of a corporation. By implementing SA8000, a corporation can meet the need of different degrees of its workers and set up uniform value between the company holder and its workers. SA8000 requires the corporation to launch "Green management model" in order to improve the working condition and protect the rights of its workers, achieve the sustainable development of its human resources.In chapter four, we explained the function of SA8000 in enhancing the international competitiveness of a corporation. SA8000 can push the international trade become more reasonable and equitable by establishing "Blue Trade System". To corporations of developing countries, SA8000 is not only a passport to the market of developed countries, but also an effective method to protect and develop its production.
