Today the process of integration of international economy is being aggravated constantly, enterprises face the competition not only from the domestic but also from the world. This adds more complexity and uncertainty of the existing environment of enterprises. As foreign trade department of monopoly industry, SXTIE must strength its own advantage and implement strategic management under the fierce competition and industry reform.This article includes simply history of the strategic management theory and enterprises management. It analyzes the internal and external environment of SXTIE, shows opportunities and treats of company, finds the strengths and weakness of company development. With SWOT analysis, it makes conclusion of competition strategy of SXTIE.This text analyzes the external environment of SXTIE with Porter' s five-powers model and classical strategic management theory, and analyzes the internal environment of SXTIE with core competition theory. After using SWOT analysis, we improve differentiation strategy is the best choice for SXTIE. It makes company keep the advantage in competition and reduces the risk of management. This article also studies the implementation and the control of differentiation strategy. The research has some value for tobacco foreign trade enterprises.
