Studyes On The Development Strategy Of Engineering Counseling Corporation

Business strategy is a future development line of the enterprise. With the continuous development of the enterprise, especially China's accession into the WTO (World Trade Organization), the competition between the firms is growing intensity and the strategy management is becoming more and more important. Just as the saying goes: Strategy determines Fortune; Thinking determines Fundamental Way. In a sense, the ability of formulating and implementing business strategy can directly reflect the scientific management level of managers, and the strategy management is of vital importance to the enterprise's development and profit. In other words, a business cannot thrive without suitable and efficient strategy. Chinese business including engineering counseling firms have fallen behind in strategy management compared with that of the western transnational firms and itself pace of change, which has seriously restricted the further development of the enterprise.This paper, taking the FSDI (The Fourth Survey and Design Institute of China Railways) as a case, tries to employ modern business management theories to grasp the essence of the current situation and problems of Chinese corporations engaging in engineering counseling by adopting comprehensive analytic methods and comparative studying approaches. The author analyses completely the conditions or factors which are beneficial or unfavorable to making scientific and reasonable business development strategy for the engineering counseling corporations. Based upon the relative theories and the successful experiences, the author presents the development strategy of "Interior Strengthening; Interior Uniting; Exterior Uniting" for the FSDI. Finally, in combination with the strategic development mode, some specific considerations and suggestions are provided as a conclusion.
