Information Technology And Organization's Decision Mechanism

Since 1990s, the rapid development of information technology represented by computer, communication, network and its wide application in organization have enormous influence and impact on traditional organization management mode. A lot of experts and scholars have summarized and studied the change of the organization management mode in the information age. However, as for organization's decision mechanism,which is the most important component in the administrative system, how it will be influenced is hardly discussed comprehensively and deeply. This thesis attempts to make preliminary exploration and study in this field. The author proposes innovatively the analysis frame of operation cost of organization's decision mechanism, proposes that the operation costs of decision mechanism includes the information costs and the agency costs. By analyzing the intension and key elements of organization's decision mechanism, and analyzing the principle of influence of key elements on operation cost of organization's decision mechanism, this thesis further discusses how the application of information technology influences every key element and operation costs of organization's decision mechanism. Thus offers some helpful suggestions and countermeasures for building the decision mechanism at low cost in the information age. Research of this thesis has certain theoretical and practical value, offers theoretical direction to the Information construction of enterprises.
