Based on the findings of other scholars and the relevant theories of institutional economics, this thesis mainly discusses the phenomena of discredit in China and intends to rejudge the dilemma of "sales and the receivable" in credit transactions by applying the theory of Path dependence. Focusing on the evolution of the credit transaction, the thesis indicates the characteristics of path dependence in credit transactions, and analyzes briefly the influence of path dependence and the reasons of its formation by the means of empirical study and comparative analysis. In the conclusion, the author puts forward several measures on how to surpass path dependence and get rid of the lock-in situation, with the aim to emphasize the effect of the characteristics of path dependence in credit transactions.
