The Important Thought Of "Three Represents" And Building Socialist Constitutional Government In Our Country

A proposed amendment to the Constitution that was adopted by the Second Session of the Tenth National People's Congress (NPC) on March 14, 2004 has established guiding status of the important thought of "Three Represents" in our nation's political and social life. The "Three Represents" thought, as well as Marxism, Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory enters into constitution so as to establish its guiding role in national political and social life. This reflects the common wishes of the Party and Demos, embodies the unification of the Party's advocate and the People's will, offers a common basis of ideology for all the Party members and the Chinese people of all ethnic groups to continue struggling in new century, and provides a ideological guaranteed for building socialist constitutional government in our country.Constitutional government guided by "Three Represents" is the only way of ruling the country by law, building political civilizations, rejuvenating and enhancing our nation , strengthening and improving our Party's leadership, and also is inevitable requirement for implementation of the important thought of Three Represents. The value orientation which is established by the "Three Represents" thought can insure the correct orientation of polity of building and developing socialist constitutional government in our country.
