Performance management and organizational commitment, which are the key focus in study and in practice recently, are always discussed separately. With 259 Chinese employees, this research explores the characteristics of organizational commitment, and with another 161 Chinese employees, it integrating performance management with organizational commitment discusses the relationship between performance management and organizational commitment. The results indicate.(1) Organizational commitment includes three key factors: normative commitment, profit commitment and affective commitment.(2) Gender and position don't influence organizational commitment, but education, age, years of work and ownership system of corporation have an influence on normative commitment, age influences profit commitment and character of corporation influences affective commitment.(3) Four key steps of performance management including objective set, performance monitor, performance appraisal and performance usage are relative with normative commitment and profit commitment, but have no relationship with affective performance.(4) Gender and education have no influence on the relationship between performance management and organizational commitment, but the relationship between performance management and profit commitment and affective commitment is influenced by age, position and years of work, and ownership system of corporation influences the relationship between performance management and normative commitment, profit commitment and affective commitment.
