Organizational commitment(OC) is a very important concept in theresearch of organization behavior,and is also very crucial to the survival anddevelopment of any organization. Based on the precedent's study of OC, weconducted a research of independent agents'OC in Xiamen's life insurancecompanies by means of surveying.This research showed the following results::(1)The structure of agents'commitment of the insurance companies inXiamen includes four factors: Continuance Commitment, AffectiveCommitment, Normative Commitment and Ideal Commitment.(2)There is significant difference among the four factors and theoverall level of OC among the different companies. The newer company has thelower level of OC.(3)According to this study, sex, age, tenure, occupation and educationdidn't affect the level of commitment.
