With the development of global economics and continuous change in the workplace, the models of occupation development have been changing. Employees have a increased feeling of job insecurity, and they pay more attention to their careers. Many scholars have suggested that employees' commitment may shift from organization to occupation. Actually more and more people have been concerning about occupational commitment. And it has became one of research subjects in human resources management which has important management value and practical value. Exploring the structure of occupation commitment is very important for improving organization management and preventing worker from leaving.As a special group, traffic police is a classical kind of service trade. Heavy tasks and large responsibility lead to the reduction of their passion and activity which become a serious problem for the related department.In this study, researcher constructed a questionaire of occupational commitment by which to collected the data from traffic police. Then we analyzed the structure of occupational commitment and its influences. The purpose of this study was to provide theory guidance for the reform of traffic police system.The conclusions were drawn as following:1 .The results of EFA and CFA showed that occupational commitment is a three-dimensional structure, including affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment. Affective commitment and normative commitment of traffic police are at a lower lever; Normative commitment is higher than them.2.Self-efficacy significantly correlated with occupational commitment and the three components. In a cerain degree, self-efficacy can forecast occupational commitment and its three components;3. Work-family conflict significantly correlated with occupational commitment and the three components. In a cerain degree, work-family conflict can forecast occupational commitment and its three components;4. Demographic variables such as gender, length of service and so on, have influences on occupational commitment.The limitations of this study were disscussed at the end of the dissertation, and at the same time pointed out the orientation of the research.
