Communication consists in the interiority of human society, it's practice activity among different practice subjects such as communicating, restricting, penetrating, influencing and reconstructing which aim at changing the world and the living space. Practice is its essence. Among many theories of communication, Marxist theory of communication is the focal point in this paper. By studying the communication in the dimension of history, Marx pointed that practice is the foundation of communication ,which is the product of human productive labor. Marx also emphasized that the ultimate aim of communication is to accomplish human freedom, liberty and all-round development. Our study is not only to systematize Marxist theory of communication but also to obtain its modern enlightenment. Marxist theory of communication supplies a communication dimension to view our country's intersubjectivity problem under the background of market economics, trying to avoid the plights of the western countries. The culture communication problem under the background of globalization of communication practice can only be solved by culture amalgamation. Marxist theory of communication also supports and strengthens the policy of opening and the way to the world communication.
