| As a specifically organizational style of geographical economy, industrial clusters have substantial influence on the development of regional economy and the competitiveness and strategic behavior of enterprises. The thesis tries to find the relation between cluster and enterprises. At first, it differentiates and analyses the meanings of industrial clusters and interrelated terms, summarizes the characteristics and types of clusters, and retrospect and appraises the evolution of cluster theories. The author considers that the characteristics of cluster, which include geographical agglomeration, industrial correlation, supporting infrastructure &institution and organic relation, have great influences on the traditional strategy environment of enterprise. These influences include advantage of social capital, external economics, the diminishing transaction cost and knowledge spillover etc. In order to adapt to these changes, enterprises have to select corresponding strategies, including development strategy, functional strategy, cooperation strategy and competitive strategy. As for development strategy, it means that companies in cluster must adopt the development style of flexibility and specialization. As for functional strategy, it means that companies must persist in studying and innovating. As for cooperation strategy, it means that companies must strengthen strategic synergy. As for competitive strategy, it means that companies must break through traditional thoughts and pursue the amalgamation of low cost and differentiation. Based on the anterior analysis, the thesis brings forward a logical graph on how to select strategy for the enterprises in cluster. This theoretical framework can guide the strategic behavior of enterprises in clusters, and promote the sustainable competitiveness of the entire cluster. Finally, the thesis analyzes the current situation and corporative strategic behavior of Wuhan photoelectric industrial cluster, and brings forward corresponding advices for its development. |
