Study On Enterprise Information Quality Management With The Base Of ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management Systems

The development of Internet and WWW widens the channels of high-speed information flow, makes the information exponentially increasing, and hastens our society to information age. Enterprises' products and services have greatly depended on information, and the enterprises specializing on information services have play a more and more important role nowadays. At the same time, the poor quality of information excruciates people, and has made great negative impacts on enterprise operations. Under these surroundings, people commence to show and attach importance to enterprise information quality management (EIQM).EIQM is a highly inter-disciplinary field. Information Science, the important theory in information society, and Quality Management Science, the chief knowledge of enterprise products quality, are two most important disciplines related to EIQM. The thesis syndicates the two disciplines and educes the EIQM based on ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management System (QMS).There are two basic threads in this paper. One is following the thoughts of ISO9000 QMS. The fundamental theory and elementary questions of EIQM (Chapter 2) are introduced first, followed by the main framework and requirements of EIQM Systems (EIQMS) (Chapter 3) and concrete processes with implementation approaches (Chapter 4 to Chapter 6). The other thread deploys with EIQM, which mainly refers to Information Reahzation Process in the thesis, and it first discusses the technology platform of EIQM (Chapter 4), men standards system of EIQM (Chapter 5), and then approaches system (Chapter 6).The thesis consists of six chapters, which are grouped into three parts.The first part includes Chapter 1, which mainly introduces the background and research areas of EIQM, the systems and innovations of this thesis.The second part is the fundamental theory, elementary questions of EIQM and main framework of EIQMS, which includes Chapter 2 and 3. Chapter 2 introduces the fundamental theories, basic concepts and great thoughts of quality management, and answers the elementary questions of EIQM. Chapter 3 puts forward the main framework of EIQMS. Following the requirement of ISO9001, the thesis identifies four main processes: Management Process, Resources Management Process, Information Realization Process, and Measurement Analysis Improvement Process. Chapter 3 is the generalization of the third part.The third part, which is the main body of the thesis, elaborates EIQM and its important approaches respectively corresponding to the last three processes of EIQMS. Chapter 4 brings forward the technology platform of EIQM, including hardware and software. The software platform emphasizes business integration and Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) related integration technologies. Chapter 5 gives the standards system of EIQM. In mis chapter, the general Information Management Standards related to EIQM are systematically imported, and then strategic data planning about the establishment of enterprise-scope standard is explained. Chapter 6, which includes kernel, advances the approaches system of EIQM, with the core method of Information Product Map (EPMAP). The two main part of IPMAP are the static modeling and collaborative modeling of IP with UML and XML. For convenience of the analysis, the thesis inducts the examples of virtual company Securities Information Inc. (SIT).The thesis tries to conclude the advanced theoris of EIQM abroad, follows the requirements of ISO9000 QMS, and constitutes a complete framework and approaches system of EIQM with the hope of promoting the study and development of EIQM in China.
