Study On The Multiple Participation And Cooperation In The Construction Of Enterprise Information Systems

With the development of Information Technology, the market has changed from products-based to customers-based. Information has become more and more important to enterprises and became an indispensable resource. It's necessary for enterprises to set up diverse Information Systems to serve operational staff, administrative staff and decision-making staff so as to collect, convey, process, store, update, and maintain information.Different to common projects construction, the construction procedure of enterprise information systems is not only a kind of projects application, but also something of Business Procedure Reengineering and organizational innovation depending on the participation and cooperation of each side including suppliers of hardware and software, system integration merchants, knowledge workers, end users, administrators of enterprises, decision-makers and so on.Using the theory and methodology of theory of management, software engineering, theory of organizational behaviors, information system engineering, economics, computer science, etc. ,this dissertation studied the cooperative modes for information systems construction procedures as well as their advantages and disadvantages respectively on the point of the organizational structure, the identity behavior and group behavior, the motivating and restricting mechanism of the enterprise information systems working groups and the organizational resistance during the system application, and analyzed in particular a case in point with the help of the previous content.The dissertation is composed of five parts.First, it studied the connotation of information system including the definition of information system and symbolic enterprise information systems, analyzed the democratic status of enterprise information systems and five methods to develop information systems. This part clarified the conceptive confusion between information system and managing information system, analyzed the reasons for the failure of information system construction citing the connotation of BPR(business procedure reengineering), emphasized the extensive utilization of SSA&D(Structured System Analysis and Design), which made the base for the following parts.Second, it analyzed the features of enterprise information systems including the criteria to value the success of information system construction projects, the insourcing and outsourcing modes to construct information systems and the contract features for outsourcing, the organizational resistance during enterprise information system application, the working group of enterprise information system application. This part classified the modes to construct enterprise information system as insourcing and outsourcing, analyzed the roles of the working group to construct information system using the knowledge about organizational innovation, organizational culture, group theory in management theory and sociotechnical theory, analyzed the motivating and restricting mechanism and roles of the enterprise information systems working groups and the organizational resistance during the system application, which set up the arguments for the next parts.Third, according to the analysis and study in the previous parts, the dissertation expounded four cooperative modes which are insourcing-based mode, contract-based dual parts cooperative mode, supervising-based three parts cooperative mode, the mode of purchasing software products.This part analyzed and compared the four modes for enterprise information system with reference to the knowledge on information system project, the development method and technology on information system, the supervising of information system construction, the technology of development and customizing of software products.Forth, with the support of all the previously expounded content, it studied the participant and cooperation of multiple sides in the key phrases of enterprise information systems including software requirement analysis, system testing, system application.
