Study On The Function Mechanism Of Knowledge Management For Enterprise Competitiveness

With the coming of knowledge economy, the market environment becomes complex and uncertain on an unheard-of scale. Strategy resource is not limited as only capitals or natural resource any more, and knowledge is becoming the main resource for enterprises to survive, develop and attain sustainable competitive advantage in competition. Enterprise knowledge management can keep the sustainable competitive advantage and the level of knowledge management is the key for winning competition. Therefore, it is important and meaningful to research on the inner relationship and function mechanism of knowledge management and enterprise competitiveness.First, this article analyzed and redefined enterprise knowledge management and enterprise competitiveness, reviewed the literature of enterprise knowledge management and relation of enterprise knowledge management and enterprise competitiveness at home and abroad, and summarized the meaning of studying on the function mechanism of knowledge management for enterprise competitiveness. Secondly, based on other scholars' achievements, brought forth the three links in knowledge management processes, that is, collection and storage of knowledge, sharing and communication of knowledge, and application and innovation of knowledge, and deeply analyzed the basic content of each link and upgrading function of them on enterprise competitiveness. Thirdly, this paper proposed the enterprise knowledge management frame that is composed of five parts, namely, the attention leaders hold on knowledge management, knowledge management in human resource, regulation of organization structure and creation of enterprise culture, construction of infrastructure of knowledge management, and knowledge management of external relationship. Also, this paper discussed the upgrading function of the frame on enterprise competitiveness.Finally, though the analysis of current researches on the measuring of knowledge management, based on the processes and frame of knowledge management, this paper put forward the evaluation index system for knowledge management and established the integrated evaluation model. On this basis, a mathematic model for knowledge management level and enterprise competitiveness was set. With the evaluation index system and the model, we can compare the knowledge management level of one enterprise in different periods or that of various enterprises, so that, we can compare the enterprises competitiveness based on the knowledge management level.
