Since 1999, General Administration of Customs and Administration of Foreign Exchange Control began to jointly launch the online business and cooperation, which have received the remarkable social and economic benefits. In 2000, General Administration of Customs has united the concerned ministries and commissions to start to construct" China electronic port " under the overall frame in " Gold customs project ". Electronic port adopts new-type management mechanism on " electronic account + online inspection +online serve ", which help to realize abundant sharing and exchanging the import and export business information flow, funds flow and goods flow. In June of 2001, " China electronic port " was popularized and run formally in the whole country, large quantities of projects and systems already are applied to in the procedure of " the greatly clear customs " in every port, fully playing enormous management and social benefits, demonstrating the vigorous powerful momentum.This thesis has researched and discussed electronic port. The thesis is divided into three parts. First of all, the thesis has introduced the electronic port deeply and systematicly, from the intension of the electronic port, whole frame, key element , function , operation procedure and important meaning in comprehensive management of the import and export business. Then, the thesis has explained three major kinds of application projects and six major kinds of application subsystems of the electronic port, has deeply analysed a series of questions existing indevelopment of electronic port at present, for instance information sharing question, standard system question, enterprise's consciousness question, etc.. Finally, the thesis has proposed the countermeasures and suggestions of construction of electronic port. Namely: from unifying the information, funds, goods flow , strengthening macro-management conscientiously, advancing enterprises logistics information construction , information construction of the port , construction of information safety, construction of online bank and talent's team.The electronic port has appeared more than four years in our country. Its construction is a gradually perfecting and developing course .There are lots of principles , technology, system waiting for us to probe and study.
